Project Overview

This project was designed to support their learning in Expedition (Module) #1: Wide World of Frogs. The project’s title is Fantastic Frog Scientific Illustrations. Students chose a frog native to Michigan to study in their home crew and created a scientifically accurate illustration of that frog in art. The final draft was used as the illustration of the frog trading card they created for their final product in expedition. Students created multiple drafts while building their craft in between. Through the creation of theirFantastic Frog Scientific Illustrations, students were able to understand how art can be used to teach others about a subject, draw scientifically accurate frogs, continue broadening their understanding of the creative process and enhance their understanding of high quality craftsmanship.
