Project Overview
This pamphlet was created by second graders at Conservatory Lab Charter School in Brighton, Massachusetts.
Students visited snake habitats at a wildlife sanctuary, studied books and videos, and cared for a class pet corn snake in order to become experts. They worked with partners to answer the questions in the pamphlet, which is designed to educate anyone who is thinking of adopting a corn snake as a pet. It covers corn snake habitats, diet, life cycle, and how to care for one as a pet.
The pamphlet is graphic and engaging, with many photos of the second graders and their pet corn snake, Jewels.
