The Animal Important Book

During a winter/spring expedition, first grade students learned about local animals’ characteristics, including body features, diet, predators, and adaptations. As a whole group students went through the entire research process focused on a local black bear.

Pollinator Research Books

Highland Creek second graders created a Pollinator Book to demonstrate their learning of the process of pollination for a plant or insect they researched. Students orally presented their projects to first-grade students. At home, students created a visual to support their research book.
