Project Overview

This project was done by 8th grade Spanish and French students. In class, students learned about three Spanish-speaking and French-speaking artists via readings, discussions, and gallery walks. Then, students applied what they learned to create their own piece of art inspired by these artists, and they also incorporated pieces of their own identities and interests. They connected this back to language by writing a paragraph in the target language to describe their piece of art.
