Students from The Northwest Opportunities Vocational Academy (NOVA) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin created the March to Equality exhibition in collaboration with Arts @ Large, Kid Curators, LLC, and numerous community partners.

In the fall of 2015, High Tech High students designed staircases. They created scale models and full size "staircases to nowhere" around the school. Using play they designed a 1:10 staircase themselves.

Students delved into groundbreaking Harvard research around brain development in children ages 0-3 and found an unexpected path for personal expression of pain from personal trauma.

Community Mosaic Portraits

This project was designed to support their learning in Expedition (Module) #2: Knowing Myself & My Community. The title of the assignment was Community Mosaic Portraits. Students created multiple drafts while building their craft in between.
