High Tech High students in San Diego, California explored issues about food stemming from the simple question of “should I eat that?” as part of their studies in Humanities and Biology.
During the 2014-2015 academic year, 85 high school students from REALM Charter School identified affordable housing as a social challenge they wanted to tackle using community-based architecture.
High School students at Spearman High School in Spearman, Texas designed these 18 x 24 pastel paintings as part of a co-curricular project in science and art. Students learned about the habitats, anatomy, hunting, behaviors and growth of wildlife of the Texas Panhandle.
This project is the culmination of a one-semester AP US Government and Politics class, consisting of seventeen seniors at MELS. Earlier in the year government students investigated fake news in order to develop critical reading skills to assess credibility and reliability of sources.
